endowments pressure group?

I fully agree with your criticisms of the FSA. Are you aware whether
they have any forum for consultation with complainants so that their
views can be taken into account as they develop their policies ? My
experience of them so far suggests they are indeed "industry-sympathetic"
and do not have the remotest idea how to protect the individual consumer.
And are you aware of any political pressure group campaigning on behalf
of endowment victims ? It seems extraordinary if there isn't one, given
the strength of feeling!
I know there is a consumer panel (which includes a representative of
the Consumers' Association, I believe) but I don't know if there's a panel
specific to the endowment issue.
Again the Consumers' Association would say it is speaking up for consumers.
Specialist firms pursue compensation for individuals, and I believe one
solicitor is taking contributions towards a possible class action (though
these things have a habit of fading away).

page. And see what the
Financial Services Ombudsman said in June 2001.

Is there a campaign group getting going to fight the injustice of banks
and insurance companies being allowed to stitch the public up?
It seems that there are as many as 5 million victims of endowment mis-selling
alone. The government seems to have the best interests of the big battalions
at heart.
Is anyone trying to get a group together to protest at about fiddling
the public and government indifference to the public mood?
