Prudential said in April 2005 that they will no longer pay endowment compensation to thir party claims companies, but only direct to clients.

They will also tell claimants who approach them through a third party company that compensation is available at no cost and in the same time frame.

Prudential say We have no axe to grind with third-party endowment complaint handlers. We are not telling our customers not to pay third parties nor are we telling them not to use such firms.

Our view: This does not alter our opinion that some people do not need a claims handling company, and some do.
